About Us
Pacific Anesthesia, a Professional Services Corporation, was incorporated in 1987. Since that time, it has grown to a staff of over one hundred anesthesiologists, serving five major hospitals and seven Ambulatory or Outpatient Surgery Centers, (ASCs) in Thurston, Pierce, King and Snohomish Counties.
We are a physician group owned and operated by anesthesiologists. We are passionate in our pursuit to provide clinically excellent patient care to each patient, every time, all of the time. We take pride in our facility partnerships and collaborative efforts to make every surgical experience a positive one. We understand the trust patients put into our ability to care for them when they are not able to care for themselves and we honor that responsibility. In short, we hold ourselves to the highest professional standards in clinical quality, operational efficiency and patient respect.
Pacific Anesthesia provides anesthesia services from Tacoma to Edmonds and from major urban medical centers to small physician surgical suites. Our case expertise ranges from Cardio-thoracic to Obstetrics and Orthopedics to Ophthalmology and General Surgery. We are all Board Certified or in the process of becoming certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, with some having additional training in specialized areas of anesthesia care such as Cardiac Anesthesia, Pediatric Anesthesia, Regional Anesthesia, Pain Management and others.
Our group is focused on quality in all areas of our practice and we believe that data collection, evaluation and analysis play a vital role in measuring and applying meaning to the constant endeavor to improve. Pacific Anesthesia is leading efforts to institute Perioperative Surgical Homes and Pre-admission Clinics, and work collaboratively with our facility partners on facility specific Quality Initiatives - all in an effort to improve one thing: Patient Care.
Pacific Anesthesia's belief that everyone must be treated fairly and respectfully carries over to it's corporate philosophy as well. We support an engaged and energetic centralized governance process, accountable to its shareholders and associates, and empowered by those shareholders and associates to move the organization forward. Physician participation in all aspects of the practice is highly encouraged, if not in governance, then in committees, special projects and facility collaboration. Associates share all but one privilege-the right to vote at Shareholder Meetings. Associates are on track to become shareholders of the corporation after two years with the purchase of stock that is refunded 100% upon departure from the organization. We look upon our associates as if they were the future of Pacific Anesthesia because they are.
Service to our patients, our community and to one another is the trademark of Pacific Anesthesia.
